Baptism - What is it?
As a Seventh Day Baptist Church Plant our beliefs on baptism are in agreement with the Seventh Day Baptist General Conference's statement of belief on Baptism.
We believe that baptism of believers in obedience to Christ’s command is a witness to the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We believe in baptism by immersion as a symbol of death to sin, a pledge to a new life in Him.

So, Baptism is for people who have already professed belief in the life, atoning death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and have made Him Lord of their lives. We do not believe that this act is a necessity for salvation, but rather an outward symbol of an already present inward relationship with Jesus. Though we do not believe that baptism is part of salvation, we do believe that it is right for believers to do as an act of obedience to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has told us to baptize believes in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
